software and tangible interaction
Before studying interaction design, I earned my undergraduate degree in computer engineering. I still enjoy practicing software devlopment in some of my projects and find the skills I learned quite useful in my design work. These are a few programming and tangible interaction projects.
The Bird Table
Using the multitouch table that I constructed for my thesis project, I developed a simple application that lets a person interact with some digital birds.
The project was completed at Carnegie Mellon University for the class Making Things Interactive.
Instant Mondrian
This small interactive piece creates Mondrian-esque patterns with a single click. Keep on clicking to shift the pattern.
GuardBird
This project uses an Arduino, face tracking software, and a couple of servos to create a bird that will track the your movements. If you get too close to the bird, it will take your picture and post it on Twitter.
It was created at Carnegie Mellon University for the class Making Things Interactive.
