Community Cooking is a website design that supports group cooking events for college students. It was created at Carnegie Mellon University for the class Basic Interaction Design.

The Community Cooking homepage.
We were asked to design a website that supported personalisation and some sort of user transaction. We decided to focus on recipe management websites. Our target audience was college students.
Our team conducting a user interview.
Our design process emphasized techniques like directed storytelling, contextual research, and competitive analysis. We spoke with a number of college students to determine the role our application could play in organizing cooking events.

The website's final features include an event planning system and recipe mangement capabilities. Our aim was to streamline the process of planning group dining activities for busy students.
The final presentation included a mock-up website that demonstrated a few scenarios of use.
